Clinical Director
Seth Erickson is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker who helps adults facing anxiety, trauma, and the challenges that come with men’s mental health. He has a particular interest in working with clients experiencing post-traumatic stress and dissociative symptoms such as depersonalization and derealization (DPDR).
Seth earned his Master of Social Work from Southern Illinois University, where he was selected as a fellow in trauma-based behavioral health with the SIU School of Medicine. He also holds a Master of Human Services Counseling from Liberty University. Before opening NorthWork Counseling, Seth supervised a school-based program, supporting a team of therapists who worked with children and families.
In therapy, Seth uses evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, strengths-based practices, and trauma-informed care. His calm and straightforward style helps clients uncover root causes, set clear goals, and practice strategies that bring relief both in and out of session. His mission is to guide clients toward greater confidence, healthier relationships, and lasting peace of mind.
Lynne is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 25 years of experience supporting adolescents and families. She specializes in helping teens navigate anxiety, depression, academic stress, and the challenges of peer relationships.
Lynne earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Kinesiology and Journalism from the University of Northern Colorado, followed by a Master’s in School Counseling from Wayne State College. She later pursued advanced training in School Leadership at Baker University. Throughout her career, she has been active on district crisis teams, coordinated at-risk programs, and provided leadership in both academic and clinical settings. These experiences shaped her ability to connect with young people during difficult times and to collaborate closely with families, educators, and community resources to create positive outcomes.
In her counseling work, Lynne offers a safe and understanding space where adolescents and their families feel heard and valued. She focuses on strengthening parent-teen communication, building resilience, and equipping clients with tools that foster emotional well-being.
Ashley is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 20 years of experience supporting adolescents and families in a variety of settings including child welfare, corrections and university environments. She specializes in helping teens recover from anxiety and trauma and their families as they navigate complex systems and challenges.
Ashley earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Saint Mary, followed by a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. She is currently completing a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Community Care and Counseling/Traumatology at Liberty University. Throughout her career, she has remained actively involved in her community through both professional and volunteer roles. Her work has given her extensive experience meeting clients in difficult life situations. This background has shaped her ability to communicate complex information during high-stress moments, allowing her to build strong, meaningful connections with the teens and families she serves.
In her counseling work, Ashley offers a wealth of insight combined with a safe space where adolescents and their families feel heard and valued. She focuses on trauma-informed modalities such as CBT and solution-focused approaches to build resilience and equip clients with tools that help build emotional well-being.

Your Therapy Process
01. We Work Together
In our first session, you will do an intake assessment, figure out how you and your therapist can best collaborate, and set meaningful goals for you to accomplish.
02. The Journey
Each therapy session follows a similar path but the journey is always directed towards your specific needs and goals that you have set.
03. Living Life
As you and your therapist work through your plan, the goal will be that you are able to begin living the life you have envisioned for yourself.
