Hi, I'm Seth Erickson
I am a dedicated and trauma informed therapist, committed to helping individuals improve their well-being. I specialize in treating depression and overcoming trauma. If you’ve been looking for therapy online but are unsure of your therapy options, I am here to support you.
Many of my clients find they are having difficulty managing their relationships, careers, motivation levels and finding peace in their mind. If you’re seeking therapy online, I provide personalized care for your unique needs. If you find yourself thinking, “I need a therapist,” or not quite sure if you need to find therapy, I am here to help.
My Success Story
Growing up, I had no idea that I would eventually become a mental health counselor. I remember in high school, my biggest concerns about life typically revolved around the next coolest movie being released or what sports event I had upcoming.
When I made it to college, I remember taking a course called “Crisis Intervention” simply because it sounded more interesting than pretty much anything else. Little did I know that 8 years after I graduated with a bachelor’s degree, I would be working as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, providing therapy in Lenexa, Kansas.
As a therapist near you in Lenexa, I specialize in treating depression and trauma. Utilizing a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework, I explore the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I am particularly mindful of the impact of trauma and addictions on human functioning from a psychology perspective.
To my clients in Lenexa: I’m thrilled that you’re seeking help! I bring extensive experience and training, holding a Master of Social Work and a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling. However, I see you as the expert of your own life. We’ll collaborate to find what works best for you, utilizing your strengths as we address your concerns, particularly focusing on overcoming depression and healing from trauma.
I’ve embraced telehealth as an effective tool for conducting online video therapy sessions. These virtual sessions offer the flexibility to receive therapy from the comfort of your own home, your car, during a walk, or at your office. Many of my clients find online video sessions highly effective for their needs, as they provide convenience and ease of access without the need to travel. This flexibility allows us to maintain consistent therapy sessions, which is crucial for addressing issues like depression and trauma.
During our online video sessions, I use secure, confidential platforms to ensure your privacy and comfort. We can work together to develop strategies for managing symptoms, processing traumatic experiences, and building resilience. This approach allows you to engage in therapy in a setting where you feel most at ease, which can enhance the therapeutic process.
If you’re looking for a therapist near you who specializes in treating depression and trauma from a psychological standpoint, and who offers the convenience of online video sessions, I’m here to help. Let’s work together to build a healthier, more empowered you with professional therapy in Lenexa, Kansas.
How I Work
My Therapy Process
01. We Work Together
In our first session, we will do an intake assessment, figure out how we can best collaborate, and set meaningful goals for you to accomplish.
02. The Journey
Each therapy session follows a similar path but the journey is always directed towards your specific needs and goals that you have set.
03. Living Life
As we work through your plan, my goal is that you are able to begin living the life you have envisioned for yourself.
Whether you have been in therapy before, or this is your first time reaching out for help, I am here to do my best to provide you with expert mental health knowledge. But most of all, I want to walk alongside you and help you achieve the goals you have with a compassionate and tailored approach.
